Freelance trombonist Yoshiki Matsuura has recorded the timeless works of Robert Schumann and Johannes Brahms in a stunning duo (trombone and piano).
challenge
This CD offers a unique listening experience where the songs, originally sung with text, are now „sung“ on the trombone alone—purely instrumental.

I find it important that the design corresponds well with the atmosphere of the pieces. I prefer something simple rather than too colorful or complex, yet I wish for something profound. This CD will also be somewhat abstract, with songs that are typically sung with text now being played on the trombone without text. Ultimately, it is about romantic songs that deal with death and love. Both works have two dimensions: death as a bitter end for the wealthy / relief for the suffering person, and suffering / joy through love. It would be great if you could make these two-dimensional aspects visible on the cover.
